By Car From Vancouver take a beautiful scenic drive up the Sunshine Coast. Take the ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale and stop in Gibsons. You will find Molly's Reach, the restaurant known from the famous TV series "The Beachcombers". Continue up the coast and enjoy the picturesque waterfront. Take a second ferry from Earls Cove to Saltery Bay and you are at the Upper Sunshine Coast. The entire trip from downtownVancouver to Powell River takes about 5.5 hours. From Vancouver Island, take the ferry at Little River in Comox. The passage takes 1 hour & 15 minutes and the ferry docks right in the city centre of Powell River.
